Thousands of motorcyclists and music lovers return to Oak Hollow Farm each year for the annual Rileigh and Raylee Angel Ride, which organizers have dubbed “The Most Family Friendly Bike Rally in the US”. This annual ride and concert benefits the Rileigh and Raylee Angel Ride Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families with special-needs children. Tea by the Bay

Enjoy the view of Away at the Bay's pier with an ice cold glass of Sweet Tea. 

Another must-see pier, is the popular public pier located at the west end of Fairhope Avenue. This Fairhope staple is very enjoyable and free to the public. "Fair-Lopers" ( those who walk on Fairhope Pier daily) can attest to the scenic beauty of this grand pier overlooking the Mobile Bay. At the end of the deck, enjoy a tea break, drinks and/or beer at the locally famous Yardarm Restaurant and Marina, the only restaurant that sits over the water.

Join us for the adventure of a lifetime.

Fly Creek Paddle – Fun easy paddling trip in the protected waters of Fly Creek or the outside waters of Mobile Bay. Great for families, groups or individuals.

Rice Creek Paddle – Trip is about 10 miles long round trip from Rice Creek Landing to Bottle Creek where you can hike to the Indian Mounds. You will travel through creeks,lakes and sloughs with a variety of flora and fauna.

Bay Minette Creek/Bay Minette Bay – Paddle up the clear waters of Bay Minette Creek through hardwood swamp to the head waters. The other option is to paddle down the creek to the marshes of Bay Minette Bay/Basin through a maze of sloughs and wild rice with totally different and diverse fora and fauna.

Chacaloochee Bay/Big Bateau Bay Area – Paddling in the brackish waters of Chacaloochee Bay into Big Bateau Bay and the option of an extended trip into Little Bateau Bay. These waters are habitat for migrating waterfowl,shorebirds,wading birds,a variety of other birds and other wildlife. This trip offers lots of opportunities for birders and photographers.

There are numerous locations in Mobile and Baldwin Counties where we can take you for an adventurous and scenic paddle meandering through the Mobile-Tensaw Delta birding, fishing, or searching for shark-teeth, a slow paddle along the shores of the Mobile Bay, or group/family fun in Fly Creek. It is best to call for rates because our services are a la carte, however to give you a general idea, guided eco-tour rates range from $75 for a half-day to $800 for a full-day. Range of rates is based on length of trip, number of people, launch location, tour interest and specialties.

All services require 50% deposit upon reservation. We also offer group and non-profit rates. If you’re interested in going for a boat ride, please give us a call.

5 Rivers Delta

For even more outdoor fun, we recommend visiting 5 Rivers. This scenic location is the incredible junction where the Mobile, Spanish, Tensaw, Apalachee and Blakely rivers flow into the Mobile Bay.  


Since its opening in 2007, 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center has hosted Alabama Coastal BirdFest. The 5 Rivers Center serves as a gateway to the second largest river delta in the U.S., providing a wide variety of educational programs and recreational offerings to the public. Sightseeing Cruises

The Joshua

Enjoy a 2.5-3 hour cruise along the our beautiful shoreline to really see and appreciate our Coast's wildlife, waters and historic homes. The Joshua is a classic 72' wooden schooner that sails the Mobile Bay under the command of Captain Carol Bramblett. The schooner is Coast Guard licensed to carry as many as 49 passengers. The vessel is available for private charter and for walk-on sails. Delta Safaris

The Osprey Cruise departs from the 5 Rivers Delta. Wind your way through open river, small bays, tidal marshes, and mud flats of the Lower Mobile-Tensaw Delta onboard the Osprey, led by a guide from 5 Rivers Delta Safaris. Designated as a National Natural Landmark by Congress, the Mobile-Tensaw Delta is home to an abundance of wildlife and vegetation, including over 300 bird species. Look for Snowy Egret, Great Egret, Great Blue Heron, Tricolored Heron, Boat-tailed Grackle, American White Pelican, Brown Pelican, White Ibis, Wilson’s Snipe, Laughing Gull, and Willet. Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge

During migratory seasons, more than 370 species of birds have been identified at Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge located on Fort Morgan Peninsula. Guides for this trip include naturalists from BSNWR who are intimately familiar with the refuge’s 7,000 acres of coastal barrier habitat, home to migratory birds, nesting sea turtles, and the endangered Alabama Beach Mouse. Trip includes moderate to extensive walks through maritime forests, a coastal marsh, and beaches—essential habitat for an amazing diversity of birds. You might see Scarlet Tanager, Palm Warbler, Tennessee Warbler, Brown Pelican, Marsh Wren, Yellow-throated Vireo, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Swainson’s Thrush, Osprey, Merlin, Forster’s Tern, and possibly migrating Monarch butterflies. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring bug spray. 


Fort Morgan Peninsula/Trans Gulf Migration Flyway

The American Bird Conservancy calls Fort Morgan one of the top “Globally Important Bird Areas” in the U.S. Open areas and shoreline of Fort Morgan Historical Park, all part of a vital Trans Gulf Migration Flyway. Expect to see Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Palm Warbler, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, White-eyed Vireo, Catbird, Indigo Bunting, Scarlet Tanager, Broad-winged Hawk, Merlin, and American Kestrel. Extensive walking in brush and sand. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring bug spray.

 

The Eastern Shore Trail

Enjoy our 32-mile multi-purpose hiking and biking trail that winds along our beautiful coast beginning at the U.S.S. Alabama Battleship Memorial Park and traveling South to Weeks Bay. The trail runs through the communities of Spanish Fort, Daphne, Fairhope and Point Clear. It offers travelers an up-close experience of abundant wildlife sightings while strolling through an area where wildflowers and blooming landscaped beds abound year round. Passing through quaint and quiet communities, over sleepy creeks and leafy valleys, past beautiful State Champion trees, the trail gives you the opportunity to soak up some sun and to enjoy the local scenery.

Hikers and bikers may begin the trail at any point desired. Kiosk maps have been placed in many locations and are user-friendly. The Jubilee Phenomenon

Watch the weather closely, and maybe if you're lucky, conditions will align just right for a Jubilee! This phenomenon  only occurs here and in the Gulf of Siam. Come check out one of the area's biggest events! Available only on, you guessed it, the fourth of July (three night minimum). Make your family's Independence Day celebration the most memorable yet. From Away at the Bay's very own pier, enjoy the city's best view of Fairhope's highly regarded annual fireworks show, which are shot off the end of the Fairhope Municipal Pier. No need to fuss with crowds, traffic or parking - enjoy the convenience of an ideal view from a private pier.  We think the biggest show of the night is after the fireworks. Watch an almost endless trail of boats with their twinkling running lights pass by as they navigate their way back to the harbor and safe anchorage at nearby Fly Creek and Fairhope Yacht club.
